KRC Test Course

Intro | Obstacle and Customized Courses | Endurance Testing | Off-Road Course | Winter Testing | Large Vehicle Testing

The KRC test course is available for four season use. Winter is our busiest season because of our large annual snowfall and long testing season.

The KRC Winter Test Facility boasts:

  • Three (3) vehicle handling loops
  • Several packed snow vehicle dynamics pads
  • Split mu slopes of 15, 20, 25, 30 and 40 percent grade
  • Long split mu slopes of 7 and 15 percent grade
  • Packed Snow slopes of 7, 10, 15, 20, 25 and 30 percent grade
  • A 200 by 1,200 foot ice rink with split mu lane
  • Packed snow/ice circles of 300, 600 and 900 foot inside diameters

These courses are used by KRC and their customers for testing/tuning vehicle and vehicle components, including tires, brake systems, drive systems, suspension systems, traction control, mobility, durability, stability control, and water, dust, and snow ingestion. KRC also works on noise, shock and vibration, gradeability, dynamic handling, and performance on gravel and secondary roads.
