The Keweenaw Research Center uses high performance Silicon Graphics workstations combined with ADAMS and DADS software for dynamic systems analysis. Most pre-processing uses a combination of solid modeling dynamic software for accurate models. Analysis of dynamic systems includes kinematic as well as dynamic studies, and results can be animated using high level animation software. Dynamic analysis can cover a broad range of systems including complex suspension and full vehicle analysis as shown above. Models of large size and complexity are easily manageable and other resources at KRC such as instrumented and vehicle testing provide immediate comparison between real and analytical testing, thereby assuring accuracy.
